Our Founder, Gary Cooper

Gary Cooper founded Cooper Heating & Cooling in Denver, Colorado, in 1978. As a second-generation HVAC technician, you might say HVAC ran in his blood. For Gary, energy efficiency was always a top priority. In fact, he was one of the first contractors in Denver to install Mastic duct joint sealant, long before it was incorporated into Denver’s building codes. 

Since its inception more than 40 years ago, Cooper Heating and Cooling has become one of the state’s leading HVAC contractors, expanding our service offering to include plumbing, electrical, and indoor air quality. Gary’s son, Luke, joined the team in 2007 after serving 4 years in the US Army. After learning the business starting as an install apprentice and working his way up through each position in the company, he became the owner and president in 2023. Luke runs Cooper Heating & Cooling with the same commitment to innovative products and high-quality service that saves customers time, energy, and money.
