Cooper Green Team Partners With We Don’t Waste to Support Food Rescue Across the Denver Metro

At Cooper Heating & Cooling, your Cooper Green Team, which takes care of our community, has always been an important part of who we are. This fall, we’re continuing that commitment through a partnership with We Don’t Waste, a Denver-based nonprofit working to reduce food waste and food insecurity by rescuing quality food and distributing it throughout the Denver Metro.
From August 15 through September 30, 2026, the Cooper Green Team will donate $50 to We Don’t Waste for every qualifying heat pump installed.
And thanks to our customers, we’re already making an impact.

What Is We Don’t Waste?
We Don’t Waste is a Denver-based food recovery organization working to reduce food waste and food insecurity throughout the Denver Metro.
Founded in 2009, the organization rescues quality surplus food from restaurants, caterers, distributors, venues, producers, and other food businesses that might otherwise go to waste. That food is then distributed through nonprofit partners serving people throughout the community.
We Don’t Waste works with more than 100 hunger-relief organizations, including food pantries, shelters, schools, soup kitchens, and other community organizations.
The idea behind its work is simple: nutritious food should go to people, not landfills.
That’s a mission we’re proud to support.
How the Cooper Green Team and We Don’t Waste Giving Campaign Works
Homeowners don’t need to make a separate donation to participate.
For every qualifying heat pump installed by the Cooper Green Team between August 15 and September 30, 2026, Cooper Heating & Cooling will donate $50 to We Don’t Waste.
That means a home comfort upgrade can create an impact beyond the home itself.
Homeowners get the benefits of a professionally installed, high-efficiency heat pump, while Cooper supports an organization that rescues food and helps address food insecurity across the Denver Metro.
One Heat Pump. $50 Donated. More Food Rescued.
It’s another way we’re connecting the work we do every day to the communities we’re proud to serve.
Why Heat Pumps?
For Denver Metro homeowners looking to improve comfort and energy efficiency, a modern heat pump can provide an efficient way to heat and cool a home with a single system.
Depending on the home and equipment selected, high-efficiency and cold-climate heat pumps can offer benefits such as:
- Year-round heating and cooling
- High-efficiency operation
- All-electric home comfort
- Reduced reliance on fossil fuels
- Compatibility with other energy-efficient home improvements
- Potential eligibility for available utility rebates, tax credits, and manufacturer incentives
The Cooper Green Team helps homeowners evaluate their home’s needs, understand their options, and select a heat pump system designed to provide reliable comfort through Colorado’s changing seasons.
Helping Denver Homeowners Navigate Heat Pump Rebates and Incentives
Homeowners considering a qualifying high-efficiency heat pump may also be eligible for utility rebates, tax credits, manufacturer incentives, and other energy-efficiency programs.
Eligibility and available savings can vary depending on the equipment, utility provider, home, installation requirements, and individual incentive program.
Our team helps homeowners identify and navigate available incentives so they can better understand their options when considering a heat pump upgrade.
During the We Don’t Waste campaign, qualifying installations also create another benefit: a $50 donation from Cooper to support food rescue across the Denver Metro.
Continuing Cooper Green Team’s Commitment to Colorado
The We Don’t Waste partnership continues a series of Cooper Green Team giving campaigns designed to connect home improvements with positive community impact.
Earlier this summer, we partnered with the Colorado Tree Coalition and committed $50 for every qualifying high-efficiency heat pump and air conditioning system installed during the campaign.
Our customers helped us reach an incredible milestone:
🌳 200 qualifying installations
💚 $10,000 donated to the Colorado Tree Coalition
Now we’re carrying that momentum forward.
Through our partnership with We Don’t Waste, we’re supporting an organization that rescues high-quality food that might otherwise go to waste and distributes it through community partners. We Don’t Waste says its impact continues to grow throughout the Denver Metro region.
From helping create a greener Colorado to helping rescue food across the Denver Metro, our customers are making these partnerships possible.
If you’ve been considering replacing an aging heating or cooling system or upgrading to a high-efficiency heat pump, your home improvement can make an impact beyond your front door.
Through September 30, 2026, every qualifying heat pump installed by the Cooper Green Team generates a $50 donation to We Don’t Waste.
You’ll get a professionally installed system designed around your home’s comfort and efficiency needs, while also supporting food rescue in the Denver Metro community.
