Caleb and the Cooper Green Team were great to work with. He was on time, professional, informative, and accommodating. I had to put my project on hold, but will be recommending and contacting him for future needs.—Tyler E. | Colorado Homeowner
The panel's amperage affects replacement costs, with higher-amperage panels costing more. Modern homes generally require a 100-amp or 200-amp panel, depending on the home's electrical load. Our electricians will evaluate your home's electrical load to determine the appropriate panel size.
Upgrading your panel size may require upgrading your home's wiring. If a wiring upgrade is needed, this can affect the installation cost. Cooper offers attractive financing options to accommodate such situations, and our final quote is guaranteed, even if the project takes longer than anticipated.
Electrical power is supplied to your home through utility service lines, which can be found either above or below ground. Panel upgrades typically cost homes with overhead service lines more than underground ones, except when trenching is required.
If your home needs additional outlets — either because you want more access points or because an older home must meet current electrical codes — this will increase the overall project cost.
Our electricians understand all state and local code requirements and can quickly determine whether any new outlets are needed.
Signs include frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, outdated fuse systems, or a panel that cannot support modern electrical demands.
Yes, older panels may increase the risk of electrical fires and may not meet current safety codes.
Most modern homes require at least 200 amps, especially with additions like EV chargers, HVAC upgrades, or solar systems.
Most panel replacements are completed within one day, though inspections and permits may extend the process.
Yes, a modern electrical panel improves safety, functionality, and can be a selling point for buyers.
