Growing a Greener Colorado with the Cooper Green Team

At Cooper Heating & Cooling, energy efficiency and environmental stewardship have always been at the heart of what we do.
Since 1978, we’ve helped Colorado homeowners reduce their energy use through high-efficiency HVAC systems — and this year, we took that mission one step further with a community initiative that’s creating a lasting environmental impact.
Partnering for a Healthier, More Sustainable Colorado
We’re proud to partner with the Colorado Tree Coalition to help improve air quality, beautify neighborhoods, and build a greener, healthier future for our communities.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day 2025, Cooper Heating & Cooling pledged to fund the planting of a tree for every complete HVAC system sold and installed.
Thanks to the incredible support of our customers and community, we’re proud to announce that 165 trees will be planted across Colorado, funded through a $16,500 donation to the Colorado Tree Coalition.
These trees will take root in local neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces — promoting cleaner air, stronger ecosystems, and more resilient communities for years to come.
The Lasting Impact of 165 Trees
According to the Colorado Tree Coalition, the 165 trees funded by the Cooper Green Team will create measurable, long-term environmental benefits during their first 10 years of life:
Carbon Reduction & Clean Air
Sequester 9.7 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere
Reduce carbon emissions by 21 tons through decreased energy demand for heating and cooling
Remove more than 91 pounds of air pollutants, including ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and particulate matter
Water & Energy Savings
Capture more than 20,082 gallons of stormwater
Save 37,982 kWh of electricity, valued at $4,607 over 10 years
Save 75.3 MMBTU of natural gas, valued at $599
Community Benefits That Begin Immediately
While it may take approximately 100 years for these trees to offset the annual carbon emissions of one passenger vehicle, their benefits begin immediately — cooling homes, purifying the air, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing community well-being.
Each of these 165 trees will grow into a living legacy, providing shade, beauty, and environmental benefits for decades to come. Your support didn’t just plant trees — it helped plant the roots for a greener, cleaner, and more resilient Colorado.
These estimates were calculated using the i‑Tree Planting Tool, with the Kentucky coffeetree as the representative species. Actual benefits may vary depending on species and placement, and estimates assume a 3% annual mortality rate typical of urban environments.
Why Trees Matter
Trees do far more than make neighborhoods beautiful — they:
- Improve air and water quality.
- Reduce urban heat island effects.
- Lower energy consumption by providing natural shade.
- Increase property values and community pride.
By supporting the Colorado Tree Coalition, we’re helping to create sustainable, energy-efficient communities that will thrive for generations.
How You Made It Possible
