Air conditioner installation cost factors in :

The AC system's size

If you're considering a new AC, sizing the system correctly is one of the biggest challenges of the job.

We make sure we get it right by performing a load calculation during your free estimate.

What does a perfectly-sized AC get you? Lower energy bills, a longer-lasting system, and better cooling coverage across the home.

AC size does affect system cost, but since AC size and home size are related, you wouldn't want to save money by choosing a system smaller than your home's needs!

The system's efficiency levels

Every air conditioner is rated on its efficiency by what's known as a SEER score. Systems with higher SEER ratings cool your home more efficiently. They also cost more to buy.

The trick is to find a system that's both efficient and within your budget. We can help with that.

Ductwork modifications

Even the most efficient AC system won't last long without reliable ductwork.

That's why we always say that additions and repairs to ductwork–if necessary–are well worth the investment at the time of the installation.

AC Installation FAQs

Proper Air conditioning sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, elevation, and sun exposure.

In Denver, higher elevation and lower humidity can impact cooling performance, so a Manual J load calculation is critical to avoid oversizing or undersizing your system.

If your AC is over 10–15 years old, needs frequent repairs, or struggles to cool evenly, replacement is often more cost-effective. New systems are significantly more energy-efficient and better suited for Denver’s fluctuating temperatures.

Most standard AC installations can be completed in one day, though more complex installs, such as ductwork modifications or system upgrades, may take longer. Proper AC sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, elevation, and sun exposure.

A higher SEER rating improves energy efficiency, but in Denvers moderate cooling climate, many homeowners find a mid-to-high efficiency system offers the best balance between upfront cost and long-term savings.

Yes, newer systems use less energy to produce the same cooling output. Homeowners often see noticeable reductions in energy bills, especially if replacing an outdated unit.

Air Conditioning Systems: Ducted vs. Ductless

Ductless versus ducted is among the most fundamental differences in AC design. Often referred to as central air, a ducted system moves cooled air through ducts where it eventually enters rooms through registers. Often referred to as a mini-split, a ductless system sends cooled air directly to one or more blowers that are installed strategically throughout your home.
