Employee of the Month – June 2025: Abel Estrella

At Cooper Heating & Cooling, we take pride in spotlighting employees who consistently go above and beyond. This June, we’re excited to recognize Abel Estrella as our Employee of the Month!

Abel’s journey into plumbing wasn’t a straight line, but it’s clear he’s found his calling. Formerly an auto mechanic, Abel discovered that fixing other people’s cars dulled his love for working on his own. That changed when a friend recommended an apprentice plumbing position at Cooper. Since joining the team two years ago, Abel has flourished.

Abel loves that plumbing keeps him learning every day and that it taps into the same problem-solving skills he used as a mechanic. The reward? Seeing tangible results from his work and helping customers feel more comfortable in their homes.

Abel’s supervisor had this to say about his performance:

“Since putting Abel in a van in September of 2024, he has steadily improved. He takes extra calls when asked and is willing to ask questions when he doesn’t know. When there is a change in policy, he quickly adapts.”

That willingness to learn and go the extra mile has made Abel a standout member of the Cooper Green Team. His next goal? Earning his Journeyman’s License and continuing to grow in his career.

What keeps Abel motivated at Cooper is the company’s strong sense of community. He appreciates being treated like a person, not a number, and values the professional growth opportunities that come with being part of a locally owned, family-run business.

Born and raised in Colorado, Abel enjoys making music and exploring the mountains when he’s not on the job. He’s also preparing for one of life’s biggest adventures—fatherhood, with his first child arriving soon!
