Furnace inspection impresses repeat customer

Problem: Mark, an Arvada homeowner, had Cooper Green Team install a furnace for him four years ago. He realized that his furnace needed an inspection and a filter replacement.

Having had a good experience with us and knowing that we provide speedy furnace service, he decided to contact us for the furnace inspection.

Solution: We immediately sent out one of our technicians to check out Mark's furnace. Our technician completed a thorough inspection and realized that the thermostat's battery needed to be replaced. While replacing the furnace filter and the thermostat battery, the technician explained to Mark why he was doing so.

After the service, our technician cleaned up after himself. Mark was highly impressed by his service and now recommends us to his neighbors and friends.

"Very courteous and explained everything…"

We bought our furnace from Cooper 4 years ago -- great experience. I called on Thursday to have someone come out to inspect the furnace and replace the filter. A technician was scheduled for Friday the next day. They called ahead to confirm and the technician arrived with a mask on and shoe covers. He did the inspection work and one minor repair. He was very courteous and talked through the system with me before and after his work. Outstanding experience. (The music they play when you are on hold is also very funny!) I highly recommend Cooper!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common signs include uneven heating, unusual noises, rising energy bills, or a system that's more than 15–20 years old. If your furnace is requiring frequent repairs, replacement is often the more cost-effective long-term choice. Cooper Green Team can inspect your system and give you an honest assessment.

A furnace burns fuel (typically gas) to generate heat, while a heat pump moves heat from outside air into your home using electricity. In Colorado's climate, cold-climate heat pumps can operate efficiently even in low temperatures, making them a viable option for Denver metro homeowners — especially those looking to reduce gas dependency. Cooper Green Team can assess your home and recommend the right system for your situation.

For most Denver homes, a high-efficiency gas furnace or a cold-climate heat pump are the two strongest options. Gas furnaces are reliable in extreme cold and cost-effective where natural gas is available. Cold-climate heat pumps have improved significantly and can operate efficiently even in Denver's winters, while reducing gas dependency. The right choice depends on your home's size, insulation, existing infrastructure, and energy goals. Cooper Green Team installs and services both and can walk you through the tradeoffs for your specific situation.

Yes, for many Colorado homeowners. Cold-climate heat pumps now operate efficiently in temperatures well below freezing, making them viable in the Denver metro. They provide both heating and cooling in one system, reduce reliance on natural gas, and qualify for federal tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act as well as Xcel Energy rebates. Homes with good insulation and compatible ductwork tend to see the best results.

Furnaces in Colorado should be serviced once a year, ideally in early fall before the heating season begins. Annual tune-ups improve efficiency, extend the life of the system, and catch small issues before they become expensive repairs. Cooper Green Team offers seasonal maintenance and tune-ups throughout Arvada and the Denver metro area.
